Municipal Court Information The Crandall Municipal Court is the justice center for the City of Crandall. The court is an impartial facility; separate from the other branches of City Government to provide fair and professional assistance to defendants in disposing of their cases. Municipal Courts are the judicial branch of city government and part of the state judicial system. Municipal Court hears Class C misdemeanor criminal cases, including traffic violations, for which the maximum fine, upon conviction, does not exceed $500.00 Municipal Court also hears cases involving violation of city ordinances, which may have fines up to $2,000.00 for certain offense. Citation Information When you receive a citation, the options you have to resolve your case can vary depending on many different factors including: the type of violation, the severity of the violation, the age of the defendant, etc. The first thing you need to do is read any information that was given to you pertaining the court. If you did not receive this information, please call the court and we will mail you the information so you can decide what action to take. If you have any questions, call the court at 972-427-6771. If you wish to pay your citation, you may pay by credit card over the phone, or mail your payment or pay online.
