Yes, There is a $5.00 permit fee to hold garage/yard sales. However if you apply online the fee is waived. You are limited to 4 sales per year. No signs are allowed on any utility pole, tree, fence, or to be placed on any public road right-of-way. All signs need not be posted longer than 72 hours, and picked up.

Yes. The Texas State Plumbing License Law requires that a plumbing permit be obtained and the work inspected by a state licensed plumbing inspector authorized by the City of Crandall. A licensed master plumber must register with the city and pull the required permit.

Anytime you witness a crime in progress, if you or someone else is in immediate danger, or if there is a fire or medical assistance needed.

The Code Enforcement officer will observe the violation in question and compare the violation to what is in the city ordinances. We will then contact the owner to have the violation corrected.

Yes we can take complaints from anyone as many times as needed.

You may stay anonymous however, you will not be contacted regarding the status of the complaint if you do choose to remain anonymous.

If you do disagree with what the city code please contact the code enforcement officer first to verify that you are interpreting the code correctly. The code enforcement officer will put you in touch with the correct department once you verify that you still do not agree with the city code.

No, we are not a kennel for long term care. We also only pick up stray animals.

No, we are only responsible for picking up animals within the city limits. Please contact Kaufman County Sheriff's Office to be connected to animal control outside of Crandall City Limits.

Absolutely!! We ask that you call about 30 minutes prior to coming to look at the animals so that we can ensure that someone will be there to meet you!!!

Silent Stars provides assistance to needy families from infants through age 17. The children must live in and or be enrolled in the Crandall Independent School District. A copy of a utility bill reflecting your name and a CISD address must be attached to the application along with a copy of your current Texas Drivers License or a Government Issued ID card. Proof of Government Assistance is mandatory. If you meet all of this criteria then yes you may apply.

Silent Stars only notifies the families who do not qualify. If we do not request any additional information from your or you do not receive a denial letter from the Silent Stars Program you have been approved.

You may come to City Hall to pick of your star which will be posted on our wall with the gender, age, and types of gifts the child has requested. You can call or email request as well.
